Ornithogalum thrysoides is also known as the Star of Bethlehem or Chincherinchee.
Ornithogalum is a spiked cluster of 12 - 18 small star shaped flowers on a single stem. Each flower measures 1" across.
Care and Handling:
- Unpack as soon as possible to prevent wilting and accumulation of
Ethylene gas. Cut off 5 cm of stem, using stem cutters, a sharp knife
or scissors.
- Place the flowers in warm water with Chrysal plant food. Put flower buckets in cooler with relative humidity of 90 - 95%.
- Loosen bunches in buckets for better circulation. Remove damaged
flowers or leaves. Replenish Chrysal solution every day or two as
needed.
